STEPHEN SMITH has been with Sporting Fine Art since the company founded in March 1998. His definitive and deliberate style is very popular with clients wanting a portrait or action oil painting of a particular horse. Not only is Stephen's style sought after in the UK and Ireland but commissions have arrived from U.S.A. and Japan. He has three originals hanging in the reception at Coolmore (IRE) and other clients include Mick Kinane (2), Derek Thompson (2), Kieren Fallon, Jamie Spencer, Richard Hills, Timmy Hyde and Aidan O'Brien. Some of Stephen's limited edition print runs have sold out, namely :- ISTABRAQ - Out On His Own, ISTABRAQ - Portrait Of A Champion, ONE MAN, SINNDAR, GIANT'S CAUSEWAY and ROCK OF GIBRALTAR.
CHRIS HOWELLS joined "the stable" in July 2003 and the eight scenic originals quickly sold and, the limited edition runs of 195 signed copies each are selling well. In particular, the "Bollocks" print, which is very popular with customers who want something different. There will be more from Chris later this year.
JACQUIE JONES' work has sold worldwide and her 'free spirit' style is quite unique. From oils to watercolours Jacquie is very expressive and, in particular, her arabic and romany scenes are something special. To see her painting live at the races or at a function (private or charity) is quite captivating. Her original watercolours and hand-painted racecards are extremely collectable. Jacquie has recently been featured in a six part television series based on her art and love of horses entitled "Newmarket Woman".
